Database General Research and Instructional Services

The database for general research and instructional service provides faculty, staff, and researchers, along with any requested authorized users, with database services for research or instruction continue for as long as the user qualifies for a Penn State Access Account or until the user requests that it be terminated. Space allocations for this service no longer apply due to the 10GB maximum quota available to PASS users. Please see the "Directory Quotas" section of the ITS Secure Server for details. Requirements: To apply the database general research and instructional service, you must:

1. Be a Penn State faculty or staff member.
2. Have a Penn State Access Account.
3. Have Personal Web Space.

To request the database for general research and instructional service, you need to fill out the ITS Academic Computing Services Request Form and select the "Database" option from the "General Research/Instructional Services" section of the form.

NOTE: Faculty or staff members can request that students, who need a Database Research Account for project work, have access to this service by adding student information under the "Users" section of the "Academic Services" form.
