General Research and Instructional Services
General Research and Instructional Services provide individual faculty, staff, or researchers with accounts for research or instructional purposes. UNIX and Database accounts are available for general research and instructional services.
Only Penn State faculty, staff, or researchers may apply for general research and instructional services. When selecting the type of service, you must include the nature of the research and intended use of the computer on the ITS Academic Computing Services Request Form. All general research and instructional services are in Section B of this form.
General Research and Instructional Services last as long as each user's Penn State Access Account remains active or until the user requests that it be terminated.
