Enabling Technologies Group

(formerly the UNIX Systems and Technical Solutions Group)

The Enabling Technologies Group is responsible for the systems administration of UNIX and other systems operated or managed by ASET, including the UNIX Cluster, UNIX and other systems in teaching classrooms and labs, mail and news servers and Web servers for college, course, departmental and individual use.

In addition to systems management, this group also provides technical support for Sun Microsystems software through the Consulting and Support Services (CSS)-managed Institutional Licensing and Software Distribution (ILSD) program.
