Scheduled email.psu.edu Server Outage

Post upgrade update: Hardware and software problems delayed the scheduled maintenance end time of 11:00 a.m. All systems were available by 2:30 p.m.

Academic Services and Emerging Technologies (ASET), a unit of Information Technology Services (ITS), will upgrade the hardware and power supply for the e-mail server email.psu.edu between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2004. During this time, email.psu.edu will not accept connections. The outage also will affect those who use Penn State WebMail to check e-mail via email.psu.edu.

The change will not affect those who use mail.psu.edu as their incoming mail server.
