Most replication errors are from DNS problems. To verify a replication error, install the support tools on your DC and run repadmin /showreps. Verify any replication error.
Solution?
Open a command prompt and run netdiag /fix. You will see a DNS test that should either pass or attempt to create the missing SRV records. Verify creation of the SRV records was successful. Repeat this on each DC in your domain and try force replication.
When setting permissions using groups in Active Dirctory, you must pay close attention to the scope of the group. In the Penn State Active Directory environment, we do not use Universal groups, meaning that if you are using a group with users from the ACCESS domain, the group must be located in the ACCESS domain and be the global type.
Solution?
Use the OU created for your organization in the ACCESS domain to create a global group. Use this group to apply permissions.
